TNPSC தமிழ்நாடு அரசுப் பணியாளர் தேர்வாணையம் (TNPSC) என்பது தமிழக மாநிலத்திற்கான அரசு சேவைகளில் பணியாற்ற அரசு ஊழியர்களை நியமிப்பதற்கான ஆட்சேர்ப்பு நிறுவனம் ஆகும்.
Short History of TNPSC:
The Madras Service Commission came into being under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929. Madras Presidency had the unique honour, of being the only province in India to establish the first Service Commission.
The Madras Service Commission started with three Members, including the Chairman. The Madras Service Commission became Madras Public Service Commission with headquarters at Madras in the year 1957. During 1970, when the name of the State was changed into Tamil Nadu, the Madras Public Service Commission automatically became the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
The working of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is regulated by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Regulation, 1954 and the TNPSC Rules of Procedure.

TNPSC இன் வரலாறு:
மெட்ராஸ் சேவை ஆணையம் 1929 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மெட்ராஸ் சட்டமன்றத்தின் ஒரு சட்டத்தின் கீழ் நடைமுறைக்கு வந்தது. முதல் சேவை ஆணையத்தை நிறுவிய இந்தியாவின் ஒரே மாகாணம் என்ற பெருமையை மெட்ராஸ் பிரசிடென்சி பெற்றது.
மெட்ராஸ் சேவை ஆணையம் தலைவர் உட்பட மூன்று உறுப்பினர்களுடன் தொடங்கியது. மெட்ராஸ் சேவை ஆணையம் 1957 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மெட்ராஸில் தலைமையகத்துடன் மெட்ராஸ் பொது சேவை ஆணையமாக மாறியது. 1970 ஆம் ஆண்டில், மாநிலத்தின் பெயர் தமிழ்நாட்டாக மாற்றப்பட்டபோது, மெட்ராஸ் பொது சேவை ஆணையம் தானாகவே தமிழக பொது சேவை ஆணையம் (டி.என்.பி.எஸ்.சி) ஆனது.
